Barracuda Surf, a surfing revolution,
was born in 2014
Barracuda Surf was founded in 2014 with a vision of elevating surfing to new heights.
Inspired by the barracuda's speed and agility in the water, we set out to create a board that would empower surfers to explore new horizons.
Shortboard: A new frontier
Conventional jetboards, with their 1,800mm longboard design, have focused on stability.
However, Barracuda Surf sought to go beyond this, developing a shorter board to enable more dynamic and agile surfing experience.
Beyond the Limits
While shortboards provided a more thrilling ride,
their reduced length led to new problems,
such as nosediving when attempting sharp turns
at high speeds.
In 2016, challenging the impossible
In response to these challenges, Barracuda Surf embarked on a rigorous research and development process. Hundreds of prototypes were iterated upon to achieve perfection, exploring every design parameter.
By leveraging cutting-edge automotive engineering and a wide range of materials, the shortboard was meticulously engineered with an emphasis on precision.
An optimized surfboard design
After tireless efforts, Barracuda Surf has finally perfected a shortboard design that maximizes dynamic movement while ensuring stable turns. By solving the persistent nose-dive problem, the most common challenge faced by shortboard surfers, we have opened up new possibilities in shortboard surfing.
